Every believer has a specific job to do to help to care for God's people
(1 Corinthinians 12:28). Those in the Ministry of Helps are supernaturally assigned to assist the Pastor fulfill their God-given vision.  In combined effort of all being faithful in serving, unity will develop throughout the congregation.

"Dependent on Him, the whole body--its various parts closely fitting and firmly adhering to one another-- grows by the aid of every contributory link, with power proportioned to the need of each individual part, so as to build itself up in a spirit of love" (Ephesians 4:16 Weymouth's New Testament).

Definition

The Perfect Assist can be defined as a person seasoned in the Word of God, who has been empowered to fulfill their specific assignment in the local church. The Ministry of Helps is a consolidation of born again believers who surround the Pastor and church leadership to assist in meeting the operational demands of the ministry. The fundamental components of the Helps Ministry are volunteer services, administration and ministerial staff.

Likewise you who are younger and of lesser rank, be subject to the elders (the ministers and spiritual guides of the church) — [giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel.] Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility [as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance] toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful) — [and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but give grace (favor, blessing) to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you. 1 Peter 5:5-6 AMP

Purpose and Function

• To assist the Pastor in carrying out their God-given vision in spreading the Gospel.
  
  
• To work, share, and participate together as one body —
  “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ; till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12-13
  
  
• To lead by example in supporting the Pastor's God-given vision through a consistent display of spiritual strengths, moral fortitude and personal integrity.
